From Meth lab to cool cabin...
/Earlier this fall, a friend and I attended the 21st Annual Home and Garden Tour in Leavenworth, a fundraiser for Cascade Medical Foundation. You know how I love home tours! Our first stop on the tour had quite a colorful history!
A gentleman serving as our guide at this location told us that this "shed" located behind the main house had been formerly used as a Meth lab, a place to produce, use, and sell illegal drugs. I can only imagine what a mess the current owners found when they purchased the property! Eventually, they got to work and turned the shed into a lovely accessory dwelling home. Come along with me and have a look!
The sleek and modern kitchen...
The eating nook...
The living room area...
A little office/library spot before heading up the stairs...
One of the baths...
A built in bench on the landing, to watch the TV on the opposite wall...
The charming bedroom...
A small taste of the lovely gardens surrounding the home...
Quite a transformation! Wouldn't you love to be an overnight guest now? I loved how they used their space in the open concept living area and even created a functional TV viewing spot upstairs.
I'll be sharing a couple more houses that we enjoyed seeing on the tour soon! Hope you are staying warm and dry if you are in the Northwest...such a grey, drizzly day here. Time to heat up a cup of warm cider and get some housecleaning done! Warmly, Gracia
Me and my friend, Cheryl..
