Hawaiian Bridal Shower...

Saturday I attended a delightful tropical themed bridal shower! The prospective groom is the son of a friend of mine. The wedding will take place in Hawaii in October for a limited groups of family and close friends of the couple, so it was a fun to get a small taste of the tropics now through the decor and food of this shower.

The bride's sister and mother did such a lovely job creating this Hawaiian theme. Using a Cricut machine, they must have spent hours cutting out lovely tropical palm leaves and flowers! The flowers looked so realistic...you could hardly tell they were made of paper until you got very close to them. As we walked into the entry, a beautiful green and white floral garland set the tone.

Walking a little further into the kitchen, the Hawaiian theme continued with live palm branches and fun touches. Isn't this a gorgeous kitchen?!! I loved the touches of dark wood with the white cabinets!

There were fun appetizers set up in the adjacent family room...love the pineapple cheese spread!

Off the kitchen, we entered the lovely sun porch...all ready for the food to be set out. Again, more beautiful paper tropical garlands in bright pinks and coral.

The menu was displayed in a darling frame on a stand. The food was simply delicious!

In lieu of a cake, there were beautiful sugar cookies decorated with starfish and sand dollars, macadamia nut white chocolate chip cookies, and a macadamia nut ice cream pie...so yummy!

Tables were set out under a tent on the back patio. I loved the deep pink and tropical print table covers, the gold utensils, and beautiful floral arrangements in glass basketweave vases, again under a lovely cricut floral "chandelier".

The bride to be got her own special chair!

Off to the side there were more beverages and gift baskets for the games.

Since there were a few small children in attendance, the hostess set up a tropical inflatable play pool. The bride to be, Sarah, is standing on the right :).

One of the games we played was a ring toss around the necks of pink flamingos! We also had a hula hoop contest...hadn't done that in many years!

As we were preparing to leave, the hostess handed out these lovely travel makeup bags with small tubes of lotion...such a lovely gift!

Our group of friends had such a lovely time sharing in this delightful day! The beautiful mother of the groom, our friend Claire, is the center. How fun to celebrate such a happy occasion in such a lovely setting! I can only imagine how fabulous the wedding will be!
