If you've been reading along with my posts, I guess you know by now that I love the sea! So, when we moved into this old house with five bedrooms upstairs, I knew I could have some fun designing these rooms. When my boys were small, they shared a tiny bedroom in another old house we lived in that bordered the Pilchuck river. Loving all things nautical, that's the theme I chose for their bedroom. They slept in white captain's single beds with drawers underneath, had OshKosh B'gosh nautical flag comforters and had wooden sailboats on the built in shelves...can you picture it? 

Well, I've missed that little ole' nautical room! I decided to create an updated nautical room in one of two quite small guest rooms upstairs. This particular room had been used as the baby nursery for all the grandchildren but had experienced a bit of wear...some leaks from the old wood window and the wall paper was in bad shape.
