Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup...

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup...

Though I have been loving these cold, crisp days of winter, it seems like there are a lot of colds and sickness going around. Whenever I feel a cold coming on, one of my first thoughts is, "I'd better make a pot of chicken noodle soup." My mother, the RN, had a recurring mantra when we became ill as children, and even as adults...."force fluids". One of the best parts of chicken noodle soup is the broth, in my opinion.

Instead of New Year's Resolutions...

Instead of New Year's Resolutions...

I'm really not a big fan of New Year's Resolutions. A Little Bit of Country...

A Little Bit of Country...

You know, prior to meeting my husband, I'd never been much of country music fan. My exposure to country was limited to hearing Johnny Cash once in a while on the radio, or having small, down home quartets, that were on a traveling circuit come and sing at our church. They often accompanied their songs with guitar or slide guitar, and their vocals included a lot of swooping up to the note and funny little harmonies.
